Tulikivi-tiles enhances the atmosphere of public rooms and it can be combined with other building materials. Tulikivi-tiles are particularly well suited for use with wood and other natural materials. Easy-care Tulikivi tiles are suitable for use as wall and floor surfacing, for example in hallways and rooms with open fire- places. A Tulikivi floor is virtually noiseless. The tiles are also ideal for bathrooms, washrooms etc., because they do not absorb water and are not slippery when wet. By installing electrical heating elements under the paved floor, a heated floor is obtained which acts as a storage heater. Tulikivi tiles can be installed like mosaic and ceramic tiles. On a flat base of concrete or timber, or over existing tiles, lay with tile plaster or tile grout. Tiles are fitted using a 2-3 mm gap, and use of normal gap grout is recommended. |
