Finnish Soapstone is a metamorphic rock composed of approximately 50% talc and 50% magnesite. One might think of it as a stubborn companion. It endures extremely harsh conditions without complaining. It possesses a phenomenal acid and alkali tolerance. Talc makes the soapstone easily workable and magnetite makes it tough and durable. Because of the smaller slab size (and weight) slabs can be easily moved into position by two people.
